John has had more than twenty years of experience developing comprehensive competency listings for different industries. Because of the breadth and depth of this experience, each time becomes quicker. His approach is to start with the largest list of skills he can develop, and to use it to look comprehensively at who can do what, and who needs to do what.

He uses the list to conduct surveys, interviews and observations, to rapidly develop a comprehensive and detailed understanding of who has what skills, and where the learning needs lie. The mysterious questions about who needs what become straightforward; no matter how complex the work, or how many people are doing it.

He provides high-level overviews, detailed management reports, and individual training plans, as required.
